How can I create an account?
To subscribe to our service, to rent movies etc. we will ask you to create an account with us. To do this you simply need to push the register button you will find in several places on the website ang follow the steps.
Can I subscribe to the newsletter?
You must have an account with DVDPost to receive the newsletter. If you did not indicate your wish when creating your account you can go to the site and click on "Profile". Then, click on "Subscribe" for the newsletter.
Once enrolled, what do I need to do to get my films?
Next you need to do the following : click on "Formulas and Tarrification" and choose the subscription you want or on "Start your free trial" if you can benefit from one, introduce the valid promotional code as well. You will then have to choose a payment method (credit card or direct debet). Should you choose the former you will be directed to a secure page where you will introduce all the necessary information. The domiciliation procedure goes via your bank, use the following info : "Home Entertainment Services S.A.".

When can I start renting?
As soon as we received your payment, wich is instantly if you pay by credit card or Paypal. If you chose direct debet as payment we need to wait untill this is approved by your bank. Once the payment received we will activate your subscription, if you have put sufficient movie titles in your wishlist. If you enjoy a free trial you will not be billed during the trial. However your payment method will still need to be validated in order to use the service.
How do I select my movies?
Different search methods are available :
1.Use the search bar in the top left corner : type the first letters of a movie, actor or director you are looking for.
2.Use the left navigation in our catalogue to browse through the movies.
3.Select a movie to obtain detailed information and click on "Add". If a film is proposed in different formats, you will be able to decide which format you wish to view.
How long can I keep my rentals?
You can keep the DVDs for maximum 1 month. After 1 month we consider the DVDs you still have as new rentals and a credit will be debited from your subscription. As soon as we receive your movie rentals, we will send you new movies.
How many movies can I have at my home at any given time?
The number of films you can keep at your home at any time is defined by the type of subscription you have chosen. The subscriptions of 4, 6 or 8 movies will grant you 2 movies at a time. The subscriptions containing more movies will grant you 2 envelopes each containing 2 movies simultaneously.
Which movie will I receive next?

Is it safe to rent via DVDPost?
You can rent your films in a secure way at DVDPost. We use the most advanced technology available on the market to secure your online transactions. All your personnal details are encrypted by software protecting the server (SSL) in order to provide maximum security. Your credit card details are stored onto a separate server.
How long before I receive my rental?

How are my rentals packed ?
Every movie travels in an individual anti-scratch sleeve, and the envelopes are designed to contain 2 discs. The envelopes are used to send and return the movies. When you open the envelop you will see a detachable part. When you remove this, our adress and a new stamp will appear. This way you can use the enveloppe to return the movies aswell.
Do I need to go to the post office to collect my rentals?
No, all are rentals are sent in separate envelopes of standard format which will be deposited directly in your mailbox. To return the movies there is no need to go to the post office. The envelopes are pre stamped and you can just deposit them in a postoffice box.
How do I return the movies when I am done watching them?
All our rentals are sent in envelopes that need to be used for the return also. Make sure you strip the part with your name and address. Underneath you will find 'Postage paid at destination", you do not need to affix stamps. Please just put your return rentals in it and drop it in a postoffice box.
Do I need to return all the movies together?
For all subscriptions where you can have only 2 movies at home at any time, this is indeed the case. You will receive an envelope with 2 rentals and you will use the same envelope to return the rentals once you have viewed them. When these are back into our posession, 2 new rentals will be sent out. If you chose a subscription where you can have four movies at a time i.e. 2 envelopes with 2 movies, it is possible to return the envelopes at different times. We will send out new rentals upon reception of one envelope containing 2 movies.
Are postage costs included?
Yes, all postage is included in our prices, whatever the amount of rentals. You will therefor never pay postage costs, only your agreed upon subscription fee.
Can I track my rentals on the internet?
You can follow the status of your order at any given time on our site, either click on the link that is sent with the confirmation mail of your order, or go to 'List' on our site. We cannot follow your envelope once it is with the postal services as they cannot track individual shipments.
Can I pick up and bring the rentals back myself?
No. You cannot return DVD's/Blu-Ray's in person
How many DVDs are sent at the same time?
This depends on your subscription plan
Mixed subscriptions: For the 3 films per month plan, DVDs are sent individually. For the 4-11 films per month plan, DVDs are sent in twos. For the following plans, DVDs are sent in groups of 4.
DVD subscriptions: For the 2 films per month plan, DVDs are sent individually. For the 4-10 films per month plan, DVDs are sent in twos. For the following plans, DVDs are sent in groups of 4.
How can I best manage my movie list ?
To optimise our service, make sure you provide us with a wish list of at least 50 film titles in the general section and at least 20/30 films titles in the adult section.
Can I choose all the DVDs/Blu-Rays?
Yes, you may choose all your rentals from our catalogue once you have a valid subscription. You may choose as many as you want, also new and future releases. All our discs are "Zone 2" formats.
How can I add or delete a movie on my list and how do I establish an order of priority?
If you have selected a film you click on "Add" to confirm it. It will be added to your list. To prioritise or delete a film title, go to "My list" and indicate the priority by clicking high, medium or low next to each title. Click on "delete" if you want to delete a film, at the end of each action do not forget to validate your changes by clicking on "update my list"
Why am I not receiving my high priority movies first?
Certain movies require a longer waiting period because of their popularity, their recent release etc. Our system will select among the movie titles in your list with high priority and will choose the first available title to send to you. If none should be available, the system will do the same with the medium priority titles and the low priority titles until an available movie is found.
I have added a TV-series to my list and I am not getting any episodes, why?
Since we are sending the episodes of a TV-series in the right order, you may not be receiving any episode until we have the following episodes in stock.
It has been a couple of days since I received new rentals, what do I need to do?
Please check whether :
- Your list contains enough movie titles (at least twenty)
- Your General/Adult movies ratio corresponds to your movie list.
If you want to change the General/Adult movies ratio, go to the 'Adult' section on the site and on the homepage change the number of adult movies within the total amount of rentals you're allowed.
Can I rent ALL AUDIENCES and ADULT movies with one subscription?
Yes, you can rent all audiences and adult films with the same subscription. The lists are managed seperately for the protection of minors. The ratio of them is dependent on your subscription. For example, with the subscriptions of 2,4,6 and 8 rentals per month, you can request 0,1 or 2 adult movies per envelope. For the subscriptions with more movies, you may request up to 4 adult films sent simultaneously. Upon receipt of your general movies, the next general movies will be sent. The same goes for the adult rentals. You may confirm your choice in the 'Welcome' section of the Adult homepage.
What is the duration of my subscription?
Our subscriptions do not have a minimum or maximum period (except for some special promotions), and you can cancel any time, without any costs. The cancellation is effective immediately, but we will allow 5 working days for you to return any rentals still in your posession. If you made an upgrade during that month you will only be able to cancel after the reconduction. If you have enjoyed a special promotion with a minimum amount of subscription months, you will only be able to cancel after the end of the promotion period.
How can I change my subscription formula?
It is not possible to change the formula while you are in free trial. After the free trial you can change your subscription formula by clicking here
When does the subscription formula modification take place?
The upgrade or downgrade of a subscription takes effect at the renewal date of the existing subscription.
How do I suspend or stop my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription with DVDPost via phone on the free number 0800.95.990 or the paying number 02/503.68.11 for calls placed outside of Belgium from Mondays through Fridays (except holidays) from 9AM to 5PM . Cancellation takes effect immediately. Please read our T&C in "Profile" attentively
I am going on holiday, can I interrupt my subscription?
It is possible to suspend your account during 1 to 3 weeks.
You can do this up to 3 times a year.
To do this, got to your account and click on suspend.
Choose how many weeks you want to suspend and save your choice.
The suspension starts immediately and you account will automatically be activated after the suspension period is over.
Your billing is also suspended during this period and your next bill will arrive as many weeks later as you were suspended.
Make sure to send us back all the DVD's in your possession before going on holidays to not keep these DVD's idle.
Your movie list will not be affected by the suspension.
Can i save up my credits?
No, you can not save up credits. Non used credits will be lost at the end of your monthly subscription period.
How does the billing work?
It is very simple. You will be billed monthly for the corresponding subscription amount. This is automatic, until you cancel your subscription.
When will I be billed?
You will be billed on the renewal date of your subscription
Do I need to arrange anything for the monthly billings?
Billing is once a month and you needn't do anything for it. You must have a valid credit card or an active domiciliation, else we will be in touch to settle the open amounts.

What should I do when I receive damaged movies ?
A specific categoy is foreseen on our customer screen. Make sure to mention it and a 'compensation' rental will be sent out to you. When doing so a computer alarm is introduced and we can intercept the rental when he is returned. The disc will then be repaired.
I have lost a rental, what do I do?
If you have lost a film, please let our customer service know in the appropriate section.
I have lost my return envelope, what do I need to do?
You may send your rentals back to the following address : Home Entertainment Services/Rue Berthelot 115/1190 Bruxelles, you must use a wrapping which will protect the films for eventual damage or chocks. Please note you need to send 2 rentals simultaneously for us to send 2 new ones.
The postal services are delaying my rentals, what can I do?

How do I take advantage of a promotion?

Who are the promotions for?
DVDPost offers promotions via its newsletter or specific promotional actions. Everybody who would like to test the DVDPost services can benefit from them. The promotions are once-only though and for new members only. The promotional code must be introduced to activate the applicable special conditions.
Can I benefit from more than 1 promotion?
The promotional actions are once-only,one promotion per family only. Different promotions will be launched regularly. You choose. Once you have partipated in one promotion you cannot benefit from a second one (except a re-activating offer valid only for you) and the normal subscription conditions will apply cfr our General T&C
What are the conditions to participate in a contest ?
Everybody can participate at our contest, but you must have a valid address in Belgium or Luxemburg, so we can send your price. You must also respond to the email we will send you within 15days of your win, otherwise no price will be sent.
